How to Connect With Clients Who Will Buy On Repeat

communication marketing sales strategy Aug 01, 2022

I’m sure some of you have heard marketing gurus online talk about why it’s important to understand who your perfect client is. In the beginning of launching my business, I watched a few videos about it and thought, “What I do - anyone could be a client.”

Why bother spending time nailing this down?

First of all, not everyone is YOUR perfect client. You have personality characteristics that likely attract certain people and repel others, right?

There are 3 things to know when it comes to identifying and defining your perfect client:

  1. DEMOGRAPHICS: Where do they live...kids, house or apartment, car, do they vacation, what podcasts do they listen to, are they luxury or generic buyers, etc.
  2. PSYCHOGRAPHICS: When they are lying in bed at night scrolling Instagram or Facebook, what are they telling themselves? What is she REALLY saying to herself? We all know that when we are alone, some of the things you say to yourself can be really brutal.
  3. PERSONALITY TYPE: I want you to think about a person that embodies your perfect client. What type are they?

DiSC is an acronym that stands for the four main personality profiles described in the DiSC model: (D)ominance, (i)nfluence, (S)teadiness and (C)onscientiousness.

People with D personalities tend to be confident and place an emphasis on accomplishing bottom-line results.

People with i personalities tend to be more open and place an emphasis on relationships and influencing or persuading others.

People with S personalities tend to be dependable and place the emphasis on cooperation and sincerity.

People with C personalities tend to place the emphasis on quality, accuracy, expertise, and competency.
